The World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) is the official international organization representing the occupational therapy profession and its global workforce. As a Swiss-based NGO in official relations with the World Health Organization, the federation sets international standards for occupational therapy education and promotes excellence in research and practice across its network of over 100 member organizations. Through global advocacy, resource development, and international congresses, WFOT works to advance the interests of the profession and improve world health and wellbeing by enabling engaged, meaningful lives for all.
My work with the World Federation of Occupational Therapists began as a one-off project designing their biannual report.
The relationship grew into day-to-day support across graphic design, web development and operational support, including management of their ageing website. I also led the digitisation of parts of their operations and supported improvements to their IT strategy. The work helped reduce costs and save time while strengthening awareness of occupational therapy and the visibility of WFOT’s mission globally.
